I HAD TO. I'm restless at 2am and I love my friends.

Life on Long Island Rocks. (Like, a billion pictures)Collapse )

The Shins tonight were a LOT of fun. Just so you know. And McCarren Pool is a pretty kick ass venue.

Goodnight. Next post shall be on spacebeetle. Add me if you so desire.

Leaving for Potsdam (actually Lake Placid for tomorrow) in 7 hrs.

Whoa. This is real. WEEE-OOOOOOOHHHHDDD.

My friends couldn't be anymore incredible. I'm so glad that I'll have them when I come back home. Each and e'ry one of 'em, I'm sure. I've never had that sense of security before. It's great.

There's three days left to this journal before spacebeetle comes into play. I haven't decided if I want to delete a_better_pace altogether yet. [shrug]

I saw Snakes on a Plane yesterday. Changed my life. Kind of like Eric Clapton's "Layla" changed my life, except Snakes on a Plane is ten trillion times more retarded. Retarded in that lovely way that you look at a modern sculpture, though.

I'm seeing the Shins tomorrow. And then I'm leaving for college the morning after that. I keep forgetting that Bob is coming with me and I miss him everyday. I feel like he'll be far away when in reality he'll be closer to me than we are now. He'll actually be only a floor up from me. Bob's just a flight away but I'm still silly by thinking that he's going to be across the globe. He really has become my best friend.

We've all been suffering since Nick has left. Tommy called him the other night when we were at Diana's party, and Tom was wasted, but Nick was even moreso. I got jealous that he was partying with other people. Haha. What a loser I am.

I wanted to make a sentimental picture post but I decided I didn't want to because that would be silly and time consuming and I don't have time to be silly or to consume time. So I won't make the post.

Now I must practice piano because today is my last lesson with Mrs. Lopardo perhaps ever. I'm hungry.

If I could bottle my daddy's laugh, the real laugh which only his greatest friends are capable of being rewarded, and bring it with me eight hours north to the border of America, I would in a heartbeat.

Eight hours is a long time.
And Thanksgiving's far away.

Really don't care.

So I went to Vermont with Jen from Monday until this evening and I got a lot out of it. To elaborate on a lot, I got to give "Chase GAPman" my phone number, I got to call people about a trillion times and not even know about it because I was so out of my skull, and I finally got the chance to know what wine flavored vomit smells like when it's stuck in your nose.

The entire thing was invigorating. Even the way home when we drove an hour in the wrong direction. Cheers, Jen Winters.

Also, tonight was Nicky's last night in town. We went to his place and I swam in my underwear and was gang banged by the most exclusive members of the Homosexual-Firefighting-pansy-knicker's Club (Tom Nick and Bob) and then Aaron saved me but not really because he just dipped me underwater. Fucking traitor. The real gays are always the ones you gotta look out for, little do you know.

I'm talking such complete nonsense right now.
Nicky, have fun at Cornell. And give your roommate my number.

I think tomorrow I might ahve my first hangover.
I'll lte you know.

Tonight, I went to Jen's. We drank. Her boyfriend was there. Then I started calling people. I called Brett because I msised him and hadn't seem him in a while. I wound up going to his friend's house and hanging out with him for like an hour. It was a good time. I missed that kid. It upsets me that I only see him when I go into the Gap.

So I believe I promised Nicholas DeVito that I'd cover one of my bags in pins by the time I leave for college, and then I'd frame it and take it to school with me. However, the bag is still about 30-40% empty!

So, da bottom line, get me some effing pins. And lemme fill this bag. And I'll remember you every time I look at my little bag hanging on the wall.

So yesterday was the Randall's Island trip with Alie to see Dave Matthews and other bands like Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, David Something-or-other, etc. It kicked. I'll give you the play-by-play.

I woke up in the morning and starting stressing out desperately about not being able to find my tickets. It turned out I didn't find them all day and couldn't get reprints so I had to go to an ATM and find dough FAST to get another ticket at the show. So, we caught an 11:56 train because if we didn't catch that it would've been an hour later and that would've sucked balls (Actually, it wouldn't've, but, little did we know...). So we get to the place where we need to take a bus to Randall's island, and I need an ATM where I can get some cash to buy a ticket, and a bus ride, and a bag, but the ATM says I have "insufficient funds" which is a crack load of bull shit. Anyway, Alie unfortunately had to pay for my ticket so I was about $80 in debt to her. So, next, we got to Randall's Island and were told that Dave Matthews goes on at 8pm. Mind you this was only 1pm-ish. So, we call my dad and ask him to go to the bank and find out why in hell I have "insufficient funds" and then we find out I don't have "insufficinet" funds and that the other ATM was just a huge asshole. So, now we go back to Manhattan, now that we know that I'll have enough money for us to get back to Randall's Island and to buy a train ticket home. We go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and spend some time in the Music Exhibit (which is basically where I want to live the rest of my life because it was SO cool). Then we went to find some pizza and then we went back to Randall's Island. At this point it's like 3:30-4ish and it was too hot to sit in the sun so we took a seat in the shade. However, the only shady spots were ones that were covered in dust. So, we sat there until the sun went down enough for us to go to the grassy spots where we could actually see the stage. So, when I realized noone was going to sell me a bag, I took out my REALLY OLD shit, and we smoked it and it got me high for like, 3 hrs. This was kind of embarrassing because I saw my cousins there, and they let us sit with them, and I was acting like an imbecile because I was high, but I'm sure they didn't care because they were pretty wasted on the drink, as well. Anyway, all in all the day kicked MUCHO ass even though I definitely dropped about $100. And someone stole my bowl.
